Newly discovered ancient antiquities in Egypt!

Egyptian pyramids found by infra-red satellite images

We only know one percentage of ancient Egypt but now thanks to a pioneer approach to archeology Dr Sarah Parcak US Egyptologist at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, using Infra-red imaging Dr. Parcak and the team analyzed images from satellites orbiting 700km above the earth, equipped with cameras so powerful they can pin-point objects less than 1m in diameter on the earth's surface. It probed beneath the sands, where they have found cities, temples, pyramids, and more than 1,000 tombs and 3,000 ancient settlements.

With intense research for over a year and test excavations they located many sites all over Egypt. The discovered new findings will help Egyptian authorities to protect the country's antiquities in the future among other things.Makes you think how many other ancient antiquities have yet to be discovered.

One site discovered reveals the city of Tanis and the new findings,in many others.
